Education background:
I grew up in Lincoln, NE where I attended Calvary Lutheran School (now
Messiah Lutheran) and
Lincoln Lutheran Junior High School. I then attended Northeast High
School. After high school, I
went to Concordia University in Seward, NE. I graduated with an
elementary degree in 1992. I then
completed my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2001 from
Concordia University.
Work Experience:
I began teaching a combined classroom of first and second graders and
music for K-4th grade at St.
Matthew's Lutheran School in St. Louis, MO. I then taught a 4 yr old
preschool class and was
assistant director of the preschool at Immaunuel Chapel in St. Louis. My
next experience was at
Grace Chapel Lutheran School in St. Louis where I taught Half-day
Kindergarten. My family then
moved to Lincoln, NE where I began teaching at Trinity Lutheran School for
two years. The first year
I taught 4th grade and the second year I taught 2nd grade. Both years I
also taught the classroom
music for PreK-6th grade and the choirs. I am currently teaching 1st
grade at Faith Lutheran School
and teaching classroom music to the Preschool classes.
Passionate About:
I am passionate about my family. I am married to Kurt Bergdolt who
teaches at Concordia University.
We have been blessed with four children, Jacob, Timothy, Natalie, and
Hannah. We enjoying
spending time together as a family and with our two dogs, Brownie and
Louie.
Accomplishment/Award:
I earned my Early Childhood Master's Degree from Concordia University.
Hobbies:
I enjoy music and playing piano. I also love to read, walk, watch movies
and relax with my family.
Something fun or funny about yourself:
I love to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving with my sisters!
