Perseverance |

The Scriptures have a lot to say about PERSEVERANCE. “We know that suffering produces PERSEVERANCE….” Romans 5:3; “Love always trusts, always hopes, always PERSEVERES” 1 Cor. 13:7; “…run with PERSEVERANCE the race marked out for us… Hebrews 12:1; PERSEVERANCE must finish its work” James 1:3. And that is what we must do here at Faith Lutheran Church & School. We must finish the work of paying off our debt so that we can finish the work of building a new worship center.
In Coach Tom Osborne’s book, Faith in the Game, there is a chapter titled, Hanging in There. In it there is a quote by Samuel Johnson: “Great works are performed not by strength but by PERSEVERANCE.” Now is the time to rise up. Now is the time to step up. Now is the time to PERSEVERE.
God has given us all we need to Git-R-Done. Because of Jesus, we can PERSEVERE. Let’s do it together…in Faith!

No, they didn't. But this is the claim made by many in the academic (and entertainment) community.
