What are the hours of Touching Hearts?  

Currently Touching Hearts is open 6:30 am-5:30 pm.


What if I am late picking up my child?

There is a $20 late pick-up fee per 30 minutes left after closing.


Does Touching Hearts provide transportation to area schools?

Touching Hearts does not provide transportation to area schools.


Is there an additional fee for preschool when the students attend child care?

Preschool fees are included in the childcare fees.


Is there a waiting list for preschool and childcare?

Please call the Touching Hearts office to find out which classes currently have availability.


Does Touching Hearts provide year-round care?

Touching Hearts is open year-round.


Is Touching Hearts open for holidays?

Touching Hearts is closed for:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Good Friday
  • Easter Monday
  • Memorial Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Thanksgiving Friday
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day

Is Touching Hearts open during inclement weather?

All inclement weather notifications will be announced on Procare.


Is part-time preschool and childcare available?

Both full- and part-time preschool and childcare are available.


Is there a discount for Faith Lutheran Church members at Touching Hearts?

There is no discount to members of Faith Lutheran for preschool or childcare.


Is there a sibling discount?

Families with more than one student receive a 10% discount for each additional child.


Does Touching Hearts offer any financial assistance?

Touching Hearts participates in a number of financial assistance programs, such as the Nebraska HHS Child Care Subsidy Program, the Child Care Aware Military Subsidy Program, and the Lincoln Littles Tuition Assistance Program. Please speak with a director to learn more about financial assistance programs.


What curriculum does Touching Hearts use?

Touching Hearts uses the One in Christ curriculum for its Jesus Time.  Teachers use a letter of the week, and theme-based curriculums for its students.  Our curriculum is directly tied into the Nebraska Early Childhood state standards.


Is there a dress code at Touching Hearts?

Children are asked to wear play clothes as they will be involved in many activities. Flip flops are discouraged for the safety of the children.


What if I cannot make my childcare or preschool payment?

As soon as possible speak with a director and let them know your situation.  There is a $25 fee for late or missed payments.


Does the building have security?

The building has a security system where families must buzz to enter Touching Hearts.  The building also has indoor and outdoor security cameras.


What meals and snacks are served?

Touching Hearts serves hot lunch, morning snack, and afternoon snack.
